About the project
The Innovation Academy has a course called Interest Based Grouping (IBG). This course takes place twice a week, every Monday and Thursday for one hour and a half. The purpose of this course is to give students the opportunity and the time to pursue a passion and work on a project of their own interest. I got together with two Sophmores and two other Junior girls as the 5 of us were interested in fasion, design, marketing, and business. Together, we decided to open a PAJAMA BUSINESS.
Our inspiration came from a previous project I had done. On the summer of 2014, my mom and I decide to have a productive summer and start our own pajama business. We called it "Ángel de mi Guarda". We worked all summer long: designing the pajamas, buying all the materials, meeting with seamstresses, running a photo shoot, creating the Facebook and Instagram pages, advertising our pajamas, and finally delling them. Our purpose of having a productive summer was definitely accomplished, and we attained a lot of learning and acheived incredible outcomes. Unfortunately, summer ended and it was time for me to go back to school. I had to completely pause this project as I had no more time to work on it. Anyways, I had hopes of working on it on the future as I really enjoyed all the process, that's why I paused it and I didn't stop it.
When IBG was introduced to us, I found it as the perfect opportunity to continue this project. The only difference, is that we decided to create a new brand, and instead of working with my mom, I am now working with 4 friends; Rafaella, Belén, Romina and Chiara.
Together, we have designed the pajamas, we have visited Gamarra several times to choose and buy all the fabrics and materials, we have met with two seamstresses various times to get our pajamas made, we have designed the print of the shirts, we have carried out a photo shoot to showcase our products, we have advertised our products via social media (Facebook and Instagram), and finally, we've selled our pajamas.

Ángel de mi guarda
Ángel de mi guarda was the first pajama business I started. It was very successful while it lasted, as I was able to sell most of my products and my clients are still very happy with their products. Visit the Facebook Page and the Instagram account!
