"The eureka effect, also known as the aha! moment, refers to the common human experience of suddenly understanding a previously incomprehensible problem or concept. "
This week, I was asked to think on any idea for a Peruvian NGO, to raise more awarness and obtain donations and help from many people. I spent that whole morning, together with another young creative thinking on many possible ideas. In three hours, we came up with 5 very solid, innovative, and well-thought ideas. At 12:00 pm, we went to ours boss' office to present to him our final ideas. We weren't even done explaining to him our FIRST idea, when he threw his pen to the floor, he walked up to us and hugged us. He started screaming of excitement, some bad words even escaped his mouth, he was thrilled. For at least 15 minutes straight, he didn't stop expressing how much he loved the idea, how simple and great it was, how excited he was about it, he couldn't believe it. It was beyond awesome and satisfying to watch my first boss be so proud and excited for something I had done. The satisfaction I've felt when obtaining a good grade didn't even compare to the satisfaction I felt when I saw his reaction.
